All countries agreed to try to limit a 1.5-C level mark for global warming. scientists told that average temperature around the world is already 1C higher now because of man-made greenhouse emissions.

World Meteorological Organization said there is a 20% chance that the 1.5 C level will be reached in at least one year between 2020 and 2024. In this period the expected to see annual average temperature are around 0.91C to 1.59C higher than the usual average.

World Meteorological Organization(WMO) chief Petteri Taalas said the study shows the enormous challenge countries face in meeting the goals of the 2015 Paris accord.

The industries and economic slowdown from the corona (Covid-19) are not a substitute for the sustained and coordinated climate action” Taalas said.
